Frequently Asked Questions

What should I expect during my first visit?

We start with a brief, private consultation to discuss your health goals and any areas of discomfort.  My goal is to create a safe, professional environment where you feel heard and respected from the moment you walk in.

Is Chinese Massage (Tui Na) painful?

Traditional Chinese methods like Tui Na involve firmer, more rhythmic pressure than a standard "spa" massage. While it is designed to shift stubborn knots, it should never be painful. I always adjust my pressure to suit your comfort level—we aim for "therapeutic relief," not discomfort.

What do I need to wear?

For oil-based massages (Full Body, Hot Stones), you will undress to your underwear in private and remain covered by a fresh towel throughout the treatment. For Tui Na, if you prefer to remain clothed, please wear loose-fitting, comfortable clothing like leggings or a tracksuit.

How many sessions will I need?

For general relaxation and stress, a monthly visit is perfect. If you are dealing with a specific injury or chronic back pain, I may suggest a shorter course of 3 to 4 weekly sessions to get the problem under control, followed by monthly maintenance.

Do I need to book in advance?

Yes, as a therapist with over 20 years of experience, my diary tends to fill up quickly. I recommend booking at least a few days in advance via our website to secure your preferred time slot.

What is your cancellation policy?

I value your time and ask that you value mine. We require 24 hours' notice for any cancellations or rescheduling. This allows me to offer the slot to another client who may be in pain and waiting for an appointment
